I've been doing a lot of research on Lich King lately, and I haven't found the answer anywhere, so I figured I'd ask here.


Does anyone know if you can Typhoon the Val'kyr away from the ledge? If you can, does the daze affect still apply?

I would let you know, but I respec'd both trees out of typhoon..would have been nice however to test.

However, if the adds go over the edge, they teleport back up >_>

Seeing how you can't Typhoon blood beasts off the ledge on the Saurfang encounter anymore, I'd venture a no as a guess, but I have no clue tbh. I don't think Blizz likes us blowing away and insta-killing their add spawns.

The concept/mechanic in question wasn't blowing the adds off the ledge, as that would more than likely kill the person they pick up as well.

What I'm wondering is if it's possible to delay the Valk's travel by typhooning her back further on the platform, and then having her dazed. Slows/stuns work, just wondering of knockbacks would as well.

Ah, my bad. Like I said, I know about nothing of the Lich King encounter, was basing it off being the same idea as Saurfang lol.

As far as I know you can't do that with the val'kyrs (if you could a lot more guilds would be doing it, it would really make the encounter easier).

Typhoon may be useful as an instant-cast AOE tool but it's too early to tell.

I think they need to fix the encounter just a tick.

Like, no defile can be casted while a valk'yr is up.

So many times we had to let people go over the side or wiped because melee would be on them, chain stunning so we could kill it, then defile happens (right under the valkyr..no problems if it spawned elsewhere)..easy 5 ticks then the whole platform is covered within 1 second (literally).

and thats the whole point of the phase...

and for confirmation, knockbacks do not work on valkyrs

As for the phase, I'm usually on the adds so I didn't know that Lich king has a cast time on it, so if we can call it out fast enough, we should be fine. Just sucks to have perfect phase 1 and 2s then go into three and watch people go over a cliff.

PS, moonkin should be able to fly..we have feathers after all.

And yeah, as soon as I posted that, I logged onto the game and the guild was talking about it. Most of us don't use Big Wigs. I haven't touched it since Start of BC, wasn't to happy with it. We'll just use focus for now. We just want to down him before heading into 25m against him. Hopefully knock some sense into a few of our members who fail at iceblocks on Sindragosa.

Yeah, only video we've seen right now is the Blood Legion kill. Finally got to see a video of what happens when you get teleported to frostmourne's room and it seems simple enough. Kill the add and get teleported back up. One of them however had vent going and it said Lich King Evade bugged. So I'm curious as to what he evade bugged on so we can make sure it doesn't happen.

As for the Flashing of the screen and all that, I think a simple "MOVE XXX " at a few problem people who tunnel vision should work. Now...
